You can load the Web Page Gallery Wizard by clicking on the
Main Menu and then choosing "Auto Web Page Gallery Creation".

IMPORTANT NOTICE.
Click here to read this important message.

When doing Web Page Gallery creation, you can select from NORMAL mode or BATCH mode. Normal mode allows you to make ONE Web Gallery at a time in either simple mode or advanced mode. Batch mode allows you to select from a list of folders that you want to create Web Page Galleries.

When using the BATCH MODE of creating Web Page Galleries, you can effectively create as many (hundreds if you wish) galleries with just a simple click. So, if you have a lot of galleries that need creation and you want to do it quickly, then this batch mode is for you.

TIP: This batch mode also supports TEMPLATE mode. This means that you can create a set of galleries that are based on a particular template. If you don't like them, you can change to a different template and then rebuild with just one click. Create huges sets of web galleries has never been so easy.

BATCH MODE OPTIONS:
When you select batch mode, you are presented with a screen that has several options to choose from to make you batch galleries.

Browse For Group Of Folders: This allows you to select a folder that contains several folders inside of it. Each of these folders can contain images.

CheckAll, Un-CheckAll: You can checkmark all of the folders that you wish to make Web Page Galleries from. Of course the folders you check should contain images.

Copying & Resizing tab:
Web Page Image Sizes: Select a reasonable image size. Typically 640x480 is practical for web operation.

Quality of copied files: Select a reasonable quality. Typically medium is good because it shows a decent image while not taking up much file space or download time (from the Internet).

Layout tab:
Web Page Gallery Layout: Select if you want a page full of thumbnails that when clicked transfers you to another page that shows the image. You can also select SPLIT mode which shows both the thumbnails AND the selected image all on ONE page with the thumbnails showing at the left in a vertical column.

Web Page Gallery Colors: If you are not using template mode, then the colors you select here will show on the created Web Page galleries.

Thumbnail Options tab:
Maximum Height:
Maximum Width:
These determine how large your thumbnails appear on your web page galleries.

Thumbnails/Page: This determines how many thumbnails you want per web page. The more you can stuff onto a page, the less pages you will have. If you pick a large number like 9999, then you will end up with only ONE web page for your gallery.

Comments tab:
Show Description: If you have some text comments assigned to your images, you can select "Text Comments". Then those comments will appear along with the image. If you have database entries for the images, you can select from various database fields to show along with the image. OR you can choose to not show any comments.

Use Templates: This allows you to use templates that you have created to make your Web Page galleries look customized and prettier than the standard appearance. See
Custom Templaes for more information on how to create them.

Browse Template Path: If you choose to use templates, then you need to specify WHERE these templates reside on your system.

Batch Pages: Click this button once you have set all of your choices. If you have seleect lots of folders and these folders contain lots of images, it could take some time to complete. There will be a status indicator to let you know the progress of the completion. Once all Web Page galleries are created, you will be presented with a MAIN MENU page so you can pick which Web gallery you want to view.
IMPORTANT NOTICE - READ NOW:
When you create the batch web pages, all files from all folders are copied into folders of the same name inside the batch folder located at:
MyDocuments\PhotoJockey\WebGalleries\(Batch)
These folders inside of the Batch folder are WIPED CLEAN before the files are re-copied into them from the source folders. SO, DO NOT PUT ANTHING OF ANY VALUE INSIDE OF THOSE FOLDERS THAT ARE CREATED INSIDE OF THE BATCH FOLDER. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. The reason is because if you delete and add soome photos to your source folder, you will want the web page gallery to reflect the current image set of the source folder's files. That is why we delete all files from the batch web gallery page before starting the copying/building process.

NOTES ON TEMPLATES:
Since template files have specific names WP_TEMPLATE.HTML and WP_TEMPLATEIMAGE.HTML, you can NOT store multiple template sets in a single folder. You will need a different folder for each template set.
Click here to see what each template file does.
